Richard L. Faerber

Richard L. Faerber, 93, of Rockford, IL passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. He was born on February 23, 1930, in La Salle, IL, the son of Arthur and Marjorie (Mennan) Faerber.

Richard served our country and is a Veteran of the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Shirley L. Scalarini in 1951 in LaSalle, IL. After moving to Rockford, they became active members of Tabor Lutheran Church. An avid golfer, Richard was proud to have achieved a hole- in-one. He cherished the time spent at Lake Mills, boating, fishing, and golfing. Richard was the proud business owner of Banner Tool and Die in Rockford for 32 years.

He is survived by his son, Donald (Beverly) Faerber; daughter in law, Wilma Faerber; grandchildren, Adrienne (Sam) Burdick, Jessica (Anthony) Muse, Nicholas (Darla) Faerber and Sarah (Dan) Tempin and 8 great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley; son, Richard A. Faerber and brother, Arthur Faerber.
