Robert Appelgren

Robert Appelgren, 78, of Rockford passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 in his home. Born July 16, 1940, in Sweden, the son of Gustav and Gunhild Appelgren. Robert left Sweden on his own at the age of 17 to come to the United States and started his tool and die apprenticeship. Throughout his life, he owned multiple manufacturing companies and car lots. Anyone who ever met Robert, never forgot him.
Survived by his sons, Mark Appelgren, Greg (Jodi Snively) Appelgren and Kevin (Amy Morris) Appelgren and their mother, Waldine Ramlow; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and very special and unconditional friend, Nancy Burbeck who he adored and was always there for him. Predeceased by his parents.
