Robert E. Postle

Robert E. “Rob” Postle, 44, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Born March 11, 1970, the son of David Postle and Janice Henryson, in Rockford. Rob worked as an installer for Thayer Lighting following a 12 year maintenance career at Whitehead Reality. He loved dogs and was an advocate for the ethical and humane treatment of Pit Bulls. Rob enjoyed playing video games with his nieces and nephews as well as remodeling and landscaping with his brother and stepfather. He also enjoyed politics, movies but most of all helping others.
Survived by his parents, Janice (Robert) Henryson and David (Sandi) Postle; brother, Ken (Bridget) Postle; nephews, Aaron Postle and Michael (Jessie) Intravaia; niece, Rosangela (John) Cantu; half-sister, Kelly (Frank) Powers and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Eileen Zurbuch.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a time of remembrance at 7:15 p.m., at the funeral home. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
