Robert Ronan, 85, of Rockford passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 at Swedish American Hospital. Born January 5, 1933, in Rockford, the son of Charles and Mae (Dougherty) Ronan. Robert was a United States Army veteran from 1953 – 1955, serving in the Korean War. Robert married Gertrude Phelps on May 7, 1955. He was self-employed at Selover Machine Co.
Survived by his wife of 63 years, Gertrude; children, Brian (Darlene), Kevin (Diana), Kathleen, Susan (Jeff) Storer and Timothy; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
