Robert J. Rosander

Robert J. Rosander, 74 of Caledonia, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024, at his home. Born on April 18, 1950, to Bertil and Sophie (Toleski) Rosander in Rockford, Illinois. Robert grew up in Rockford and graduated from East High School. He worked as a substitute teacher and swim instructor in the area. As an avid sports fan and outdoorsman, he spent many years fishing and boating in Green Lake, Wisconsin, and was always in attendance at his children’s sporting events. Listening to The Beatles, tuning into Chicago Bears’ games, and using his CB radio were some of his favorite pastimes. He is loved and missed by many. 

He is survived by his children, Steve Rosander, Alex Rosander, Katie Rosander; grandchildren, Amelia and Wyatt; sister, Carol (Donnie) Roberts; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. Robert is predeceased by his parents and sister, Linda Strait.

A celebration of life visitation will be held for Robert on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S.
