Rockford—Roger Dean Jansen, 58 of Rockford died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born February 16, 1956 in Chula Vista, CA to Roger George James Jansen and Marvetta Loris Ellenberger. Formerly married to Mary Ellen Zanocco. Roger worked for Eclipse Combustion, Dresser Industries, Aloha Air, Veterans Housing and Employment Assistance Retiring in 2013. Member of Crusader Clinic, Navy Club, Republican Party and a Kiwanis Brat Day Volunteer. Roger was such an amazing man... He always had an answer to any question. He was extremely intelligent. All of his friends and family meant so much to him. While he was employed at Eclipse he was able to travel the world, to name a few. He visited Korea, Pakistan, Hong Kong. The best part of his trips is he always came home with stuff for his kids.
Daddy- I am no longer able to see you or hug you.. You will always be a part of me. You have always loved me and supported me no matter what decisions I have made. I have learned so many things from you.. I will carry you with me always!! Love you daddy!! Xoxo Daddy's little girl!

Funeral Mass 11 am Saturday, May 17, 2014 at St. Edwards Catholic Church 3004 11th street, Rockford il 61109. Visitation from 5 to 8 pm Friday, November 16, 2014 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (Mulford Chapel) 1860 S. Mulford Road. Visitation to continue Saturday at church from 10 to 10:45 am in the church hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors organization.
