Rolando F. Villarreal, Sr. 59, Rockford, died Thursday, June 23, 2011 in Swedish American Hospital. Born November 8, 1951 in Nava, Mexico, son of Benito G. Villarreal and Yolanda Torres. Employed for many years by SA Industries (formerly Gates Rubber Co.) Veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his son, Roland Villarreal; daughter, Shelly Villarreal; granddaughter, Emily Villarreal; mother, Yolanda Torres; brothers, Gilbert (Nicole) Villarreal, Benny Villarreal, Jesse (Rhonda) Torres, Raul Torres; sister, Mary (David) Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father. Visitation from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
