Ronald Slabaugh

Ronald “Ron” D. Slabaugh, 66, Caledonia, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023. He was born March 10, 1957, in Rockford, the son of Paul and Donna (Brady) Slabaugh. Ron married Linda Alexander in Caledonia on December 2, 1994. He owned and operated Slabaugh and Sons excavating and house moving, retiring in 2021. Ron enjoyed his family, especially riding with the grandchildren on his golf cart. He also had a huge interest in amateur astronomy and spent time relaxing with his telescopes.

Survived by his loving wife, Linda; his children, Louie (Jennifer) Slabaugh, Christopher Slabaugh, Chase (Nikki) Slabaugh, Michael (Kayla) Andrews, and Cory Andrews; his grandchildren, Taylor, Tatum and Tessa Slabaugh, Preston, Payton and Paxton Slabaugh, Olivia, Owen and Hadley Slabaugh, Tristan, Alyssa, Mykala and Emersyn Andrews, Kobe Carter, Tanner, Ryan and Cayson Bauer; his great-grandchildren, Luca and Flora; his brother, Robert (Cindy) Slabaugh. Predeceased by his parents, Donna and Paul.

Family and friends are invited to an open house, to celebrate Ron’s life, on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 3:30 P.M. at Sam’s Restaurant on Harlem, 1031 Harlem Rd. Machesney Park. Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family. Share online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
