Rosene Mary Anderson (Hoskins/Didier), 87, Rockford, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rockford on November 8, 1937, the daughter of Mathias and Dorothy (Rankin) Didier. She worked as a layout artist for several Rockford businesses and in the Art Department of the Rockford Register Star Newspaper for 15 years until her retirement. Rosene married Jimmie Hoskins on September 22, 1956 (he passed away on September 20, 1998). She then married Richard Anderson on February 15, 2003 (he passed away on March 30, 2021). She was a member of Central Christian Church (previous church affiliations were Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Bethesda Covenant Church).

Survived by her son Jay (Sara) Hoskins and their children, Daniel (Brynn) Hoskins and David Hoskins, her daughter, Jill (Robert) Hall and their children, Jimmie and Nathan Hall, her daughter, Jodie (Michael) Hancock and their children, Bradley (Ashley) Hancock and Brittni (Philip) Burton, and her son Jeffrey Hoskins and his son, Caleb (Nicole) Hoskins; her great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Emily, Morgan, Micah, Merrick, Finley, Bailey, Abbigail, Aubrey, Arwen and Aria; her brother, William Didier and her sister, Barbara Rafferty; step children Rena (John) Dempsky and Perry (Tammy) Anderson and their families; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, Jimmie and Richard and her brother, Richard Didier.

She was an accomplished artist completing some of her last projects within days of her passing. Her creativity extended to quilting as a lifelong hobby. She enjoyed traveling, being in nature and spending time with her friends and family. She was a member of Central Christian Monday night women’s bible study and Wednesday small group bible study. She was a member of Red Hats, Busy Bees Quilting, Sinnissippi Quilters Guild, and SM & SF Women’s Auxiliary.

Funeral services will be held on June 5th, 2025 at Central Christian Church, 6595 Guilford Rd. Rockford with Pastor Sherm Nichols officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 10:45 am followed by the memorial service at 11 A.M. and a luncheon. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford.
