Roy R. Kloweit

March 8, 1935 — December 17, 2022

Roy R. Kloweit, 87, Rockford, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Alpine Fireside Health Center. He was born March 8, 1935, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Ewald and Hilde (Jungbauer) Kloweit. He was a graduate of Rockford West High School, class of 1953. Roy was a veteran serving in the Army. He married Maralyn Robertson in Rockford on November 4, 1961. She passed away on January 31, 2016. Roy was employed as a production planner at Barber Coleman Company and later at Warner Lambert until his retirement. Roy had an enduring love of playing the piano and always enjoyed entertaining his family and friends over the years. A special thank you to the staff at Alpine Fireside Health Center for their compassionate care.

He is survived by his sons, Jeff (Sarah) Kloweit and James (Rebecca) Kloweit, both of Rockford; his grandchildren, Tyler (Vivi) Kloweit, Samuel Kloweit, and Darby (Cole) Stradtmann; his brother, Ken (Janet) Kloweit; many nieces, nephews and family in the Milwaukee area. Predeceased by his wife, Maralyn and his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the Lombardi Society American, 209 Olive St. Rockford, IL 61107, from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family. Share online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
