Russell Berg

Russell William Berg, 93, of Rockford, passed away on September 21, 2023. He was born on September 18, 1930, in Tower, Minnesota, the son of Christian and Virginia Berg. He married Theresa Pavlich on July 10, 1951, and spent 72 years together. He served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 20 years as a Master Sergeant. He graduated with a bachelor’s in physical education from University of Minnesota Duluth and a master’s degree in education from Northern Illinois University. Russell worked as a teacher for many years at the Harlem School District.
