Ruth O. Zeller

Ruth O. Zeller, 69, Rockford, died Friday afternoon, November 28, 2008 in Swedish American Hospital. Born February 7, 1939 in Sioux, North Carolina, daughter of Robert and Hassie Garland Bryant. Married to Bobbie McKee for over 20 years. He died on July 21, 1977. She then married Robert Zeller in 1998 and he predeceased her in 2007. Employed by Amerock Corp. for many years. Ruth was passionate about her garden and she canned fruits and vegetables profusely. She and her husband Robert enjoyed traveling the country in their RV. She also loved her Danielle Steele books. Survivors include her daughters, Sheila (Keith) Garrett, Champaign, Karen Britton, Rockford, Sherri (David) Riffle, Ft. Collins, CO, Patricia McKee, Park Hills, MO. and Michelle McKee (Kenny Utley), Rockford; grandchildren, Brandon (Lisa), Trevor, Chelsea, Heidi, Dustin (Jenny Tribble), Latham, Avery, Emma, Quintin, Amanda, Travis, Bobby, Kristopher, Justin, Tyler and Cody. Also survived by her great-grandchildren, TKeyah, Jaden, Julius, Alexis and Aliana; sisters, Zula Whaley and Ethel Ritter; brother, Boyd Bryant and numerous nieces, nephews and good friends. Predeceased by her husbands, parents, an infant son and her brother, Obed Bryant. Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Billy Wilson officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visistation from 12:30p.m. until time of the service on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the family.
