Savannah Elizabeth Joanne Johnson

Savannah Elizabeth JoAnne Johnson, 24, of Rockford, passed away May 3, 2014. Born September 7, 1989, in Rockford, the daughter of Grant Sr. and Jewel (Dye) Johnson. Savannah worked at Morning Glory Restaurant for 3 years. She will be dearly missed by Marty, her coworkers and her customers. Savannah was always smiling; she could light up a room with her presence. She was the life of the party. Savannah was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and aunt.
Survived by her parents, Grant Sr. and Jewel; children, Jamie and Jamiah Johnson; brothers, Grant Jr. and Mogen; sisters, Hannah and Ameliah; grandmothers, Elizabeth Dye and Lois Johnson; aunts, friend to many, and uncles, including special uncle, Tom Dye; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, loved very much by her nephews, Dontae and Ma'Cale Johnson; special friend, Tony Diaz and childhood friend, Kneah Chaney. Predeceased by grandfathers, Donald Dye and Sherwin Johnson.
Funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 South Mulford Road, with Rev. Janet Wold officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial in New Milford Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
