It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shana Leigh Paris (Flader) of Rockford, Illinois. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born April 18, 1973, in Rockford, Illinois.
Shana was an extraordinary and beautiful woman that adored her family and friends. She had a passion for helping others, always the first to lend a hand to those in need. When asked what her joys in life were, she said her family, running, and her work.
Among Shana’s most significant accomplishments was raising her two amazing children. Jacob (23) and Isabella (18). She was so proud of the two of them and all their accomplishments. Shana had a passion for running. She completed ten marathons. Including running the prestigious Boston Marathon. She was so immensely proud of running her 10th marathon in her 50th year of life. As time went on, she brought her love to others by helping coach running at Fleet Feet. Shana ran the billing department at New Vision Laser Center for over 22 years. New Vision was her second family, and she took amazing pride and enjoyment in her work.
Shana’s legacy is one of unwavering kindness and generosity. Even in sickness, she never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did for herself. Her life served as a testament to her Christian values and huge heart. Shana's loss is deeply felt by all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire strength, and generosity in those whose lives she touched.
