Shirley B. Parkey, 66, Belvidere, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012, in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.nbsp; She was born June 22, 1946, in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of Jack and Lillie Mae (Houston) Brakfield.nbsp; Shirley married Larry Parkey in Memphis, Tennessee on April 4, 1988.nbsp; She enjoyed the outdoors and loved working in her beautiful flower gardens.

Survived by her husband, Larry; son, James (Sandy) Rice of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Madalyn, Keagan, and Kaitlin Rice; sister, Christine (Donald) Presley of Crystal Lake; brothers, Howard (Sandy) Brakfield of Island Lake and Phillip Brakfield of Crystal Lake; brotherinlaw, Ray Brown; many nieces and nephews.nbsp; Predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Helen Brown and Shirley Nibblet.
