Steven C. Abbott

Steven C. Abbott, 46, of Rockford, passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2018 at Swedish American Hospital. Born October 19, 1972 in Rockford; he was the son of Jon and Victoria (Borgen) Abbott Sr. He married Lori Hodges on October 19, 2018 in Rockford.
Steve attended Jefferson High School and was a former employee of Barcol Door Company.
An avid Dallas Cowboy fan, Steve enjoyed hockey, Karate, golf, darts, gardening, his dog, Max and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Hodges Abbott; step-children, Bobby (Michelle Alessi) Mounts and Kyle Davison; grandson, Landon Mounts; sister, Laurie (James) Keeton; brother, Jon (Lori) Abbott Jr.; in-laws, Terry and Pam Hodges; sisters-in-law, Jamie Strecker and Mandy (Joe) Reimann; nieces, Stephanie Abbott, Kristen Abbott, Melissa Encinas, Lindsay Emery and Kelsey Emery.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Swedish American Heart Hospital.
Funeral service 11 a.m., Saturday, at Alpine Lutheran Church, 5001 Forest View Ave., Rockford. Visitation 9 until 10:45 a.m. just prior to service at the church.
