Steven Robert Stiles

Steven Robert Stiles 67 of Rockford went home to God on Sunday April 13, 2014 in OSF St Anthony Medical Center. He was born October 11, 1946 in Rockford, the son of Eugene and Virginia (Gatz) Stiles. He served six years in the Illinois Army National Guard. He married Luann Segneri on December 28, 1968 in St Anthony of Padua Church. He was a sales representative for RJ Reynolds retiring in 1994. Steve enjoyed his winter months in Florida with his wife Luann and his extended family and friends in West Palm Beach. Steve, a numbers person, enjoyed being with his family at casinos and tracks. Going back to his childhood days, Steve was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan.

Survivors include his wife Luann of 45 years and daughters Steffanie (Jeff Lee) Stiles and Luann (Scott) Pelczynski and his new purpose for living these last few years Grandson, Nicholas.
His sisters Sharon Ayersman and Nancy (Bob) Pedersen, his Aunt Lorraine DeMars and Aunt Mary (Bill) Milanos. Steve will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, Dr. Lindsey Pedersen and Ryan Pedersen, Douglas and Barbara DeMars, Dean Olmstead III, Todd (Hannah) Olmstead, Dr. Nicole (Dr.Jayen)Patel, Nacole, Krishana and Kianna Turner. Great niece, Giuliana Olmstead and great nephew, Luca Patel. Two sister-in-laws, Rojean (Dean) Olmstead and Kim (Robert) Turner and his Mother-in-law, Mary Segneri.
Steve was predeceased by his parents and Father-in-law Leonard Segneri and his Uncle Carl DeMars.
Our family will be forever grateful to Fr. Richard Russo, Monsignor Brady, Fr. Pierre, the Poor Clares, St.Anthony Medical Center, Dr.Molinari, Dr.DiSanti and our friends for the prayers,love,and endless support during this journey. For that, we are blessed.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12pm Monday April 21, 2014 in St Anthony of Padua Church 1010 Ferguson Street, with visitation from 10-12:00 A.M. his cousin, Father Richard Russo officiating.
