Thomas J. Peele

Thomas J. Peele, 91, Rockford, died Friday morning, March 21, 2014 in Wesley Willows Health Center. Born July 14, 1922 in Saginaw, MI, son of Blaine and Jeanette (Nicholson) Peelle. Served in the United States Army during WWII. Married Jane Stokes on November 6, 1948. He worked at Canfield Clinic as a cytopathologist and head of the lab from 1950-1982. In retirement he enjoyed playing golf, cards, traveling, gardening and making furniture for himself and others. Tom was always a kind and generous man.

Survivors include his wife, Jane; son Stephen (Kris) Peele; daughters, Kathy (Gary) Miller and Janet (Alan ) Wold; grandchildren, Brad Peele, Amy (Dave) Hughes, Travis Miller, Sara (Yoel) Nieminen and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Pastor Bruce Main officiating.
