Thomas "Tom" F. Badaluco

Thomas “Tom” F. Badaluco, 88, of Rockford, IL passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025, surrounded by family. Tom was born February 11, 1937, the son of Anthony and Frances (Giamalva) Badaluco. He attended St. Thomas Highschool, graduating in 1955. Tom went on to proudly serve in the Army National Guard from 1960 – 1966. He married the love of his life, Ann Cacioppi on October 21, 1961, almost 64 years to together. Tom retired from Rockford Public Works, Water Division after 35 years of dedicated service. He was a man of great faith and devoted to St. Bernadette Catholic Church, where he volunteered in many capacities. Tom was a member of the Holy Name Society, St. Ambrogio Society and the Lombardi Club. Tom had a passion for the accordion, playing in multiple bands and teaching at Nielsen’s music shop. Tom and Ann enjoyed traveling, especially to Italy. Most of all, Tom loved spending time with his family and beloved grandchildren. His infectious smile will forever live in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him.

Tom is survived by his wife, Ann: children, Anthony Badaluco, Sr., Fran Chosnyk, Antoinette (Paul) Reynolds and Phylis Standard; grandchildren, Anthony (Annatiasha) Badaluco, Jr., Ashley (Kevin Bryndal) Chosnyk, Ryan Chosnyk, Adam Chosnyk, Jaxson (Krystal Kofoed) Reynolds, Breanna Reynolds, and Thomas Standard; great grandchildren, Briar and Baelin Badaluco; extended family, Zachary Chosnyk and Jessica Borchert; numerous nieces nephews, and cousins. Tom is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Frances; twin baby brother, 3 brothers-in-law, and 1 sister-in-law.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Visitation will be Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 8:30 – 10:30 at the funeral home. Burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary.
