Thomas W. "Tom" Zellner ,64, Rockford, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2014, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 8, 1950, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, the son of Peter and Delores (Dorhorst) Zellner. Tom married Marlene Fabert in Rockford on August 31, 1985. He retired from Crown Machine and started his own business, CMT/Ronco Resharpening, 10 years ago.
Tom was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he served as an Elder for 8 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and spent many years vacationing in Canada with his family. He was an avid NASCAR fan and traveled to many races with his son.
Survived by his wife, Marlene; his son, Ryan; his brothers, David (Marcia), Dennis, Mike (Candi), and Doug Zellner; his sisters, Jan (Randy) Kaiser and Jean (Marvin) Schiller; his mother, Delores Christian; his brother-in-law, Duane Staver; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by his father, his sister, Diane Staver, his brother, Donald Zellner, and his special uncle, Bernard Zellner.
Memorial services will be held at noon on Thursday, June 5, 2014, in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4881 Kilburn Av. with Reverend Frank Ciprys officiating.
