Tribba L. Van De Poele

Tribba L. Van De Poele, 83, of Rockford, IL passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Tribba was born March 29, 1942, in Frederick, OK the daughter of Harlon and Cleo Mae (Smith) Woodall. She attended Snyder High School in Synder, OK. On August 29, 1964, she married the love of her life, Norton Van De Poele, Jr. and had three children. Tribba worked at Ideal Uniform. She enjoyed camping, sewing, baking, traveling (visiting all 48 continental states), and taking long walks with her beloved Norton. Most of all, Tribba loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Norton (Stacey) Van de Poele III, June (Dan) Callahan and Roy (Monika) Van de Poele; grandchildren, Zachary, Miya, Norton IV, Mackenzie, Mackayla, Tyler (Jamie), Hailey (Jayson) and Laura; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Charlotte, Luka, Bentley, Theo, Callan, and Savanna; brother, Harlon Lee (Oleta) Woodall; sister, Morine (Tom) Peevyhouse; brother in law, Curtis Neeley; sister in law, Norma (John) Simpson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Tribba is predeceased by her parents, Harlon and Cleo Mae; husband, Norton; brother, Elmer (Janell) Woodall, Oscar Woodall, and sister, Linda Neeley.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. A visitation will be held prior from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alpine Fireside, 3650 N. Alpine Rd. Rockford, IL 61114. Cremation rites entrusted with Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory.
