Victor M. Manalli Sr., 93, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at Presence St. Anne Center. Born August 17, 1920, in Rockford, the son of Henry and Louise Manalli. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He married Lillian Vascellaro on October 7, 1950 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Victor worked at Lou Bachrodt as a salesman for 42 years, retiring in 1997. He was an avid golfer. Victor was a people person and was very social. He was a loving husband and a wonderful father and grandfather who loved spending time with his grandkids. The Manalli Family would like to give a special thank you to Presence St. Anne Center and especially the West Wing N Unit for their wonderful care.
Survived by his wife, Lillian; sons, Vic Jr. (Theresa) of Cherry Valley and Mark (Karen) of Byron and grandchildren, Abbey, Nicholas (Angi), Christopher, Jake and McKenna. Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Louise, sister, Rose and brothers, Jack and George.
Funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at St. Rita Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Entombment in Sunset Mausoleum.
