William Bender

William Bender, 74, of Rockford, formerly of East Dundee, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 2, 1937 in Minneapolis, MN; the son of Robert and Irene Bender. He was a proud veteran serving his country in the US Air Force. Bill married Kathryn Tracy on November 29, 1999. nbsp;He worked as a consultant in computer technology, retiring in 1999. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. He will be missed by all who knew him and by those whose lives he had touched.

Bill is survived by his wife, Kathryn; sons, John (Stephanie) Bender and Tony (Melissa) Moran; daughters, Elizabeth Cook, Dawn (Keith) Harbeck, Kelly Moran and Kristy Moran; brother, Richard Moran; 13 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, former wife, Sandra Bender, brothers, Cliff and Jerry and sister, Roberta (Bobbi) Braddock.

Per Bills wishes there will be no services held at this time. Cremation rites have been accorded. Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108 is honored to assist the family.
