William R. Trank

William R. "Bill" Trank, 65 a lifelong resident of Rockford, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Bickford House. He was born January 18, 1949 the son of Ronald and Frances (Jacobs) Trank. Graduated from West High School class of 1969 and went on to serve in the United States Army during Vietnam. Bill was the proud owner of the Brass Hat for 13 years and retired from barbering in 2010. He was a hard worker who loved to laugh and be with family and friends, he will be missed dearly by all. Survivors include his daughter, Lindsay (Rob) Dunn of Rockford; grandchildren, Kathryn and Patterson Dunn of Rockford; sister, Charlene (Anthony) Poletto of CA; niece, Cori; nephew, Matthew and former wife, Barb Trank of Loves Park. Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford chapel with Rev. Dr. Matthew Johnson officiating. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation and remembrance gathering, Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
