Wilson Sadowsky, 90, of Rockford, IL passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021. He was born in Rochester, IN the son of Maurice and Margaret (Wilson) Sadowsky. A graduate of Rochester High School and Purdue University, Wilson married Ann Cessna in 1952. He retired from Sundstrand in 1990. Wilson was a dedicated member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was a humble, private man and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Survived by his wife, Ann; children, Jennifer (Dave) Rud and Julie (Steve Clemens) Sadowsky; grandchildren, Christine Rud, Elizabeth Rud, Eric (Lindsay Buck) Minix, Joel (Sarah Gold) Minix; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; brother, Maurice Sadowsky, Jr.; and sister, Mary Margaret Neff.
A Memorial Celebration will be held at a later date. Cremation rites accorded with Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Wilson’s name to the Rockford Rescue Mission, 715 W State St, Rockford, IL 61102 or Carpenter’s Place, 1149 Railroad Ave, Rockford, IL 61104.
