Zeita Marie Friske

Zeita Marie Friske, 86, loving mother and friend, met her lord and savior Thursday, January 23, 2014. Born in Brainerd, MN on June 29, 1927, daughter of Lawrence W. and Verna (Merrigan) Roscoe. She married Robert F. Friske on February 20, 1954 in Rockford, IL. She was an active member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and the occasional visit to the casino. The Friske Family would like to especially thank the Eagle Neighborhood staff at River Bluff Nursing Home for their kind and compassionate care over the years.

Survived by her children, Catherine A. (Philip K.) Hinkel of Roscoe, Michael L. Friske of Roscoe, Janice M. Friske of Madison, Philip J. (Susan G.) Friske of Rockford and Gregory P. Friske of Chicago; grandsons, Samuel and Noah Friske; siblings, Margaret E. Magnan and Mary Jean (Dick) Fields also many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, parents, brothers, Frank J. Roscoe, James D. Roscoe and Richard Roscoe; also sister, Dorothy Innes.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Friday January 31, 2014 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. and will continue from 9:00-9:45 A.M. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave. followed by the funeral mass at 10:00 A.M. and continuing with Entombment in Calvary Catholic Mausoleum.
